1870 CENSUS–“NANCY LANKFORD” IS AGE THIRTY-FIVE, BORN IN KENTUCKY, LIVING ALONE WITH FIVE CHILDREN, AND BETWEEN TWO HALL FAMILIES, IN P.O. MT. PLEASANT, HARLAN COUNTY, KENTUCKY. HeritageQuest on-line census image, accessed and transcribed, 14 Jun 2006, by shb, via Provo, Utah Public Library:

27/27 Hall, Francis 30 MW Farmer, b. in Kentucky, wife “Easther,” age 30, born in Kentucky, and family.

28/28 Lankford, Nancy 35 FW Keeping House 200 60 Kentucky
, Julia Ann 14 FW At home Kentucky
, Granville P. 12 MW At home Kentucky
, Sarah J. 9 FW At home Kentucky
, Robert 6 MW Kentucky
, Frank F. 1 MW Kentucky

1870 CENSUS–A SON NAMED “GEORGE P.” IS NOT LISTED IN THIS CENSUS. I do find what looks like a “Granville P. Lankford,” child in this family, born the same year as George. It is probable that they are the same son, especially since they have the same iitial. However, they might also have been twins, one of whom died before 1870, and it is also possible for two children to be born within the same year, in a family. I seek additional documentation before combining the two into one child. –shb 14 Jun 2006

  4. I think that everything said made a ton of sense.

But, what about this? suppose you were to write a awesome headline?
I ain’t suggesting your information isn’t solid, however what if you added something that makes people desire more?
I mean Robert B. Lankford (b. abt. 1825, TN, s/o Benjamin and Temperance, m. Nancy __), of P.O. Mt. Pleasant, Harlan, Kentucky Sherlene\s G-LOG is kinda boring. You might glance at Yahoo’s home page and watch how they create news headlines to grab people to click. You might add a related video or a related pic or two to get people interested about what you’ve written.
Just my opinion, it could make your posts a little
    bit more interesting.
